How to Properly Maintain a Commercial Blender?

Blenders can be a huge asset to your commercial kitchen, but they need proper maintenance to stay functioning at their best. Fortunately, we're here to give you the information you need on how to properly maintain your blender to ensure it remains in excellent working condition.

How to Properly Clean Your Commercial Blender
The main parts of a blender - container, blade assembly and base - are easily removable for cleaning. If you don't have a dishwasher, you can hand-wash these components to remove stuck-on food and stains.
Make sure you thoroughly rinse them before reassembling them. Alternatively, you can wash them in the dishwasher on the top rack to sanitize them and prevent etching on the glass or plastic.
Avoid washing the base as it houses the electronic motor and control system for the appliance, which will not stand up well to prolonged moisture exposure. Instead, quickly wipe up any spills on the exterior of the base with a damp rag.

Prevent odors from lingering in your blender by not storing things such as spices and herbs in the unit. If you do need to clean the jar, fill it half-way with equal parts white vinegar and water; then run the blender (with the lid on) for 30 seconds before emptying out and rinsing.
Choose a blender with special features that will help you run your business more effectively, such as preset programs for streamline food prep or drink service in busy environments. Also, look for a model with sound enclosures that reduce noise from the blender during use in customer-adjacent prep areas.
